SEO and local search
SEO Services for Small Businesses in the US and EU
04 — Contractors & builders · shot in-house
SEO services for a small business should come down to a short list of things you can point at: pages that get indexed, content aimed at searches with real demand, a Google Business Profile that shows up in the map pack, and a report that connects the work to calls and forms. That is what Arcline Digital delivers. We audit the site, fix what is blocking it, build the pages that have demand behind them, then measure which searches turn into money. Organic search is slow. Most sites see measurable movement somewhere between month three and month six, and competitive terms take longer than that. We do not promise a number one ranking, because nobody controls the ranking. What we can control is the work, and you see all of it every month. We are a remote studio, one small team, working US and EU business hours.
Thirty minutes, video or phone, US and EU hours.
What you actually get
Every engagement produces files, pages, and access you keep. No black box.
A technical pass on the site
Crawl and index checks, page speed work, broken links, redirect chains, structured data, mobile rendering, canonical tags, and sitemap hygiene. We fix what we find. You get a written log of every change, not a 60 page PDF you have to hand to somebody else.
Keyword and page mapping
We pull search demand for your services and your service area, then map each intent to one URL. One page per intent. This is the step most cheap SEO offers skip, and it is why so many small sites end up with four pages fighting over the same phrase.
On-page and content work
Titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, and body copy rewritten on the pages that matter. New pages get built where demand exists and you have nothing to rank.
Local SEO
Google Business Profile setup and cleanup, category and service selection, business information matched across the directories that matter in your country, location or service area pages, and a simple review request process your staff can follow. Local work usually moves faster than national work. Map pack changes can show up within weeks.
Reporting you can read
One report a month. Tracked search positions, organic traffic, conversions from organic, and a plain list of what we did. Everything runs in accounts you own. If we part ways, nothing gets switched off.
How the work runs, month by month
Weeks 1 and 2
Access and audit first, then the priority list. We look at the site, the analytics, the competitors ranking above you, and the searches your buyers use. You get a ranked list of fixes with effort and expected impact against each one.
Weeks 3 to 6
The technical pass and the first content batch. This is the heaviest stretch of the engagement. Most of the compounding value comes from work done here.
Month 2 onward
Publishing, internal linking, local signals, and iteration on pages that are close to breaking through. We review search query data and adjust rather than guessing.
Every month, ongoing
Report goes out, then a call about what comes next. Calls run inside US or EU business hours.
Honest timelines
Nobody can compress the crawl, index, and evaluation cycle Google runs. Here is the shape of it in practice.
Weeks 1 to 8: technical fixes land, indexing improves, and local listings can move. Months 3 to 6: content built early starts ranking and organic traffic separates from the baseline. Months 6 to 12: competitive commercial terms come into play, assuming publishing continued.
If a site is new or has almost no backlinks, add time. If someone quotes you results in 30 days on a competitive term, ask them to put it in the contract. They will not.
Who this is for
- Owners with a site that gets traffic but almost no inquiries
- Local service businesses invisible in the map pack outside their own street
- Businesses selling in both the US and EU that need one consistent site rather than two half-maintained ones
- Anyone who has paid for SEO before, got a dashboard login, and never got an explanation
- Teams with no in-house marketer who need the work done, not advised
It is a poor fit if you need results this quarter for a product launch. Paid search does that job better. It is also a poor fit if you want links bought in bulk.
How the quote works
Search work is quoted per site, in writing, before anything starts. The scope depends on how many pages need work, how competitive your market is, and whether local search is in play.
Monthly care plans exist for sites we host or maintain, and those are quoted per site too.
Thirty minutes, and you leave with a scope and a number.
What we will not do
Being clear about this saves everyone a call.
- No ranking guarantees. Not for one keyword, not for any position.
- We do not buy links or use private blog networks.
- We do not run your paid ads inside an SEO engagement. That is quoted separately.
- We do not publish AI generated filler to hit a word count.
- We will not take the project if the site is built on a platform we cannot edit properly.

SEO questions we get asked
How long does SEO take to work for a small business?
Expect meaningful movement between month three and month six for most small business sites. Technical fixes and local listing work can show up sooner, sometimes inside the first six weeks. Competitive commercial keywords take longer, often nine months or more, and a brand new domain with no links takes longer still. Anyone quoting fast results on a hard term is selling you something they cannot control.
Do you guarantee first page rankings?
No, and treat any agency that does as a warning sign. Rankings are set by Google, adjusted constantly, and vary by device and location. What we guarantee is the work: the audit, the fixes, the pages published, and the monthly report showing what changed. If the numbers are not moving after a fair run, we tell you why rather than repackaging the same retainer.
What is the difference between local SEO and regular SEO?
Local SEO targets searches tied to a place, so the goal is the map pack and the results shown to people nearby. It leans on your Google Business Profile, consistent business details across directories, reviews, and location pages. Regular SEO targets searches without a location attached and depends more on content depth and links. Most service businesses need both, weighted toward local.
Can you do SEO on a website you did not build?
Yes, provided we get proper access to the site, the hosting, the analytics, and the domain registrar. We start by checking whether the platform can support the work. Some page builders and locked down templates make basic changes impossible, and in that case we will say so before you pay, then quote a rebuild instead of charging you monthly for work the platform blocks.
How do you quote SEO services for a small business?
Search work is quoted per site. What it takes depends on how many pages need work and how competitive your market is. Monthly care plans for hosting and maintenance are quoted separately, per site. You get a number in writing before any work starts.
